The Tale of Klingeris
Story updated
Klingeris is a braided, pretzel-shaped sweet bread traditionally baked for Latvian celebrations like weddings and birthdays, its raisin-studded dough and festive shape marking it as more special-occasion fare than everyday bread. The braided sweet-bread tradition is shared broadly across the Baltic and Northern European baking heritage.
