The Tale of Kolduny
Story updated
Kolduny are small stuffed dumplings found across Belarus and Lithuania, filled with meat or mushrooms and usually served in broth or with sour cream. Their name and form connect them to the wider Eastern European dumpling tradition shared with Lithuanian koldūnai and Polish kołduny, though exactly where the dish first took shape isn't clearly documented.
