The Tale of Dovga
Story updated
Dovga, a yogurt-based soup with herbs and rice, reflects Azerbaijan's Persian- and Caucasus-influenced culinary heritage, served hot in winter and chilled in summer. It's a traditional home-style dish without a documented single point of origin, deeply rooted in Azerbaijani household cooking.
