Pan-Seared Salmon with Garlic Butter

Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp chopped fresh thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- 1Pat the salmon fillets completely dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- 2Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- 3Place the fillets skin-side up and sear for 4 to 5 minutes until a golden crust forms, then flip carefully.
- 4Reduce the heat to medium, add the butter, garlic, and thyme to the pan, and cook the second side for 3 to 4 minutes, spooning the melted garlic butter over the fish.
- 5Cook until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches 145°F internally.
- 6Drizzle with lemon juice and the pan butter just before serving.
