Lemon Butter Baked Salmon

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), skin on
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. 2Pat the salmon fillets dry and place them skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. 3In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  4. 4Spoon the butter mixture evenly over each fillet and top with a few lemon slices.
  5. 5Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
  6. 6Spoon any pan juices back over the fillets before serving.
