The Tale of Cranberry Sauce
Story updated
Cranberry sauce has roots in Native American use of the native cranberry, later sweetened and cooked by English colonists; it became firmly linked to Thanksgiving as the holiday's canonical trimmings solidified in 19th-century America. Canned cranberry sauce spread widely after Ocean Spray introduced it in 1941.
