Honey Garlic Pork Chops

Ingredients
- 4 boneless pork chops
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes, optional
- 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water
Instructions
- 1Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
- 2Whisk together the honey, soy sauce, garlic, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl to make the sauce.
- 3Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chops for 3 to 4 minutes per side until browned.
- 4Pour the sauce into the skillet, reduce the heat to medium, and simmer for 4 to 5 minutes, spooning the sauce over the chops.
- 5Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for another minute until the sauce thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
- 6Remove the chops once they reach 145°F internally and let them rest for a few minutes before serving with the extra sauce spooned on top.
