Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 375°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- 2Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl and set aside.
- 3In a large bowl, cream the butter with the granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- 4Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- 5Gradually mix in the flour mixture just until combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
- 6Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- 7Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, until the edges are golden but the centers still look slightly soft.
- 8Let the cookies cool on the sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
