The Story Behind It

The Tale of Matzo

Story updated

Matzo is an unleavened bread central to Jewish Passover tradition, commemorating the Israelites' hurried exodus from Egypt, when there was no time for bread to rise. It remains one of the most ritually significant breads in Jewish culinary history.
