Beef Lo Mein

Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 8 oz lo mein or spaghetti noodles
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
- 2 cups shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- 1Cook the noodles in boiling water according to package directions, then drain and toss with a drizzle of oil to prevent sticking.
- 2Whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and brown sugar in a small bowl.
- 3Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat and sear the beef for 1-2 minutes per side until browned; remove and set aside.
- 4Add the remaining oil and stir-fry the garlic and ginger for 30 seconds, then add the cabbage and carrot and cook for 2-3 minutes until just softened.
- 5Add the cooked noodles, beef, and sauce mixture to the pan, tossing everything together for 2 minutes until heated through and evenly coated.
- 6Stir in the green onions and serve immediately.
