Italian Beef Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs ground beef (85/15)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 24 oz marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. 2Soak the breadcrumbs in the milk for 5 minutes in a large mixing bowl.
  3. 3Add the ground beef, Parmesan, eggs, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper to the bowl and mix gently just until combined.
  4. 4Roll the mixture into 20 evenly sized meatballs, about 2 tablespoons each.
  5. 5Arrange on the baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes until browned and cooked through to 160°F internally.
  6. 6Warm the marinara sauce in a large pot or deep skillet, then add the baked meatballs and simmer for 5 minutes to absorb the flavor.
  7. 7Serve over pasta or with crusty bread.
