Beef and Snow Pea Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cups snow peas, trimmed
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. 1Toss the sliced steak with the cornstarch and let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. 2Whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. 3Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat and sear the beef for 1-2 minutes per side until browned; remove and set aside.
  4. 4Add the remaining oil and stir-fry the snow peas and bell pepper for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender.
  5. 5Add the garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds, then return the beef to the pan.
  6. 6Pour in the sauce mixture and toss everything together for 1-2 minutes until glossy and heated through.
  7. 7Serve immediately over cooked rice.
